Henna

The short film *Henna* follows a group of Basij members on the verge of being deployed to a military operation; a small mark found in the hair of one of them opens a window into a world of memories, cultural heritage, and maternal beliefs. In this film, henna transcends its simple, literal role to become a symbol of the emotional bond between mother and child, cultural roots, and the true meaning of self-sacrifice—a brief narrative about love, faith, and farewell.
